The Daniel Plan is far more than a diet. It is a lifestyle program based on spiritual principles and five essential components: Food, Fitness, Focus, Faith, and Friends. These last two components — faith and friends — are what I call the secret sauce that makes The Daniel Plan so effective.
- The BCR team is constantly discussing self-care, not only for our clients but for the staff as well. We often mention how we promote this for others but overlook our own self-care.
- As a team, we thought it would be beneficial to promote a positive change within ourselves while holding each other accountable. The Daniel Plan seemed like the perfect way to encourage one another.
- As a team, we decided to pick one negative habit that we find ourselves repeating and do our best to break the cycle over the next 40 days. Examples include unhealthy eating, negative thinking, lack of exercise, etc.
- Throughout the next 40 days, we will meet weekly to discuss our experiences. We plan to organize group workouts, exchange healthy recipes, and just support one another through our struggles and our victories.
- Our goal is to take what we have learned from this experience and apply it to set positive examples for one another as well as our clients.
